sat in for the morning syf session today and personally ( i said, personally, you guys are not oblighed to agree with me ) AMKSS and hougang were my personal favourites. for both bands :
1. phrasing was good
2. layering was good
3. tone and overall band sound were good
4. i think hougang's soloists really stood out!
5. i really like the overall band sound from AMKSS
6. dynamic contrasts were there
7. articulations were precise
8. intonation was better than some of the GWH band(s)
9. musicality was more or less there ( keeping in mind that they are sec sch students )and well..

i really enjoyed the performances by both hougang and AMKSS. nevermind the missing honours, i enjoyed those extra 11s =) no doubt the entire hall's stunned silence showed how we all ( well, most of us who were not screaming/crying anyway ) were hoping 'with heart and voice' that you guys would get that honours you all deserve with ur hardwork. ah but nevermind about that honours, we ( my friends and i ) really really enjoyed hougang and AMKSS's performance. and thats what should really matter right? the MUSIC you guys made really pierced through our hearts ( in a good way of course ). be proud of who you guys really are : gold band members with the ability to touch hearts and make hair stand with your powess ( yea our hair really did stand - in a good way ).really enjoyed it. thank you kids, you people made my day =)
